Cyrus Guo	Gold	郭赛阳, 今年11岁，中文学校七年级学生。喜欢游泳，弹琴，踢踏舞，还有各种车。对中国文化和历史有很大兴趣，暑假期间开始学习《弟子规》和《论语》，特别喜欢《论语》中的历史典故。从去年在中文学校参加的各种中文竞赛过程中，学到了知识，增长了经验，感受了乐趣。期待着新的一年更加挑战和更加有趣的中文学校生活。
Sydney Yao	Silver	My name is Sydney Yao. I was born in Philadelphia in 2003. I will be in my 3rd grade at Collegium Charter School (CCS) as well as Huaxia Chinese School at Great Valley (HXGV) in the fall. I started going to Chinese school 2 years ago, where I am learning how to write and read Chinese. I enjoy learning Chinese language and Chinese culture. Learning Chinese will help me keep communications with my grandparents. When I visit China, no one can tell that I am an American. During the past year, I had a few opportunities to participate in the public speech contests and received a few awards. I am very grateful to my teachers and parents who were helping me along the way. I have a younger sister, Sabrina. She also goes to HXGV Chinese School. I am trying to speak to Sabrina in Chinese at home to practice more this year. 我叫姚雨夕， 2003年出生于费城。我是CCS的三年级的学生。也是华夏中文学校的三年级学生。我是两年前开始上中文学校的。在中文学校， 我开始学习读和写。 我很喜欢学习中文和中国文化。学习中文会帮助我和奶奶，姥姥，姥爷沟通。还有，当我去中国时，没人会意识到我是从美国回来的。在过去的一年里， 我有机会参加了几次中文演讲比赛，在老师，父母的鼓励和帮助下，都取得了很好的成绩。我很感激他们。我还有一个妹妹，她叫姚雨芊，她也在华夏中文学校上一年级。爸爸，妈妈要求我和妹妹说中文，在未来的日子里，我会尽量和她在家说中文。
Kristy Fu	Bronze	Kristy is currently a ninth grader at Downingtown East High School. She has been a distinguished honored student throughout her three middle school years, at Lionville Middle School. She loves reading and music. She enjoys traveling and sightseeing.
Chelsea Tang	Bronze	Chelsea 虽然在美国出生和在英语环境中长大，她却对学习中文充满了浓厚的兴趣。从她5 岁第一次去拜访住在中国的亲人们之后，Chelsea开始尝试着讲中国话，尽管这之前她全都讲英语。几年过后，凡是听过她讲中国话的人都以为她是从中国大陆来的小姑娘。尤其她进了大费城中文学校，Huaxia Chinese School at Great Valley后，在学校所提供的优越的学习中文的环境里和在张缨老师优秀的教学中以及在家长的敦促下，Chelsea的中文无论是在听，说，还是写作方面，凭借她的认真好学，努力向上，勇于迎接挑战，和持之以恒的精神得到了很大的提高。以上这些也在Chelsea积极参加大费城中文学校举行的各项活动中得以展现。 Although Chelsea was born in the US and grows up in English speaking environment, she is really interested in studying Chinese. Chelsea attempted to learn speaking Chinese after her first visit to our family in China as she was five years old. Before that, she only spoke English. A few years later, people thought Chelsea just came from China while she was talking in Chinese. Especially after Chelsea attended to Huaxia Chinese School at Great Valley to study Chinese, her listening comprehension, reading and writing skills have progressed quite significantly. Her achievements are attributed to her curiosity and challenging spirit, to a wonderful studying Chinese environment provided by the school, and to an outstanding teacher, Zhang Ying. Zhengming Wang	Bronze	我的名字叫王争鸣, 今年十一岁，今年秋天就要上六年级，中文学校也要上六年级。我的父母都是从陕西 来的。 我从六岁开始学中文， 到现在已经学了五年了。 这五年来我的中文成绩一直都很好。这是为什么呢? 我今年参加了华夏中文学校辩论会(比赛的题目是:中国家长方式好还是不好)? 通过这次辩论赛， 现在我才明白，我能学好中文，是老师和家长精心帮助和严格要求的结果。除了学习之外，我很喜欢拉大提琴。 我的大提琴老师要求很高，我每天都要花很多时间去练。但是老师还经常批评我，我有时候也很生气。 我现在的梦想是长大后能成为马友友。 我还喜欢打篮球和排球。跟别的孩子一样我很喜欢读书和玩电子游戏。中文方面，我爱读<<十二生肖系列童话>>，我也爱看电视连续剧<<三国演义>>.
Yunge Xiao	Bronze	Yunge started to learn Chinese at 4. At beginning, mom couldn’t prevent her falling into sleep or playing with others at class. She managed to remember some characters, but never thought learning Chinese was fun. However, when she grew up a little bit, Yunge was attracted by the beautiful rhythms of some Chinese poems. The “ 弯弯的月亮, 小小的船 ” is her favorite. “When I performed this poem, I was really enjoying the story – the Moon, the mom and her baby in the dream. Thanks so much, Teacher Xie Ren, for editing such a nice poem”. In her spare time, Yunge practices Chinese children dance, gymnastics and ice-skating. Her latest hobby is doing origami. 我叫云格，今年八岁。 学习华文，十分努力。 放学回家，打开电脑。 朗读认字，将密码找。 四岁那年，想起惭愧。 老师上课，我呼呼睡。 现在班上，多是弟妹。 成绩不好，说不过去。 喜欢跳舞，也爱朗诵。 舞台表演，我挺卖力。 听话三宝1，聪明狐狸2， 弯弯月亮3，迎春妞妞4。 今年暑假，回中国去。 看看爷爷，会会姐妹。 有点兴奋，有点忧虑。 敢说中文，我挺牛的5? 注: 1三宝： 云格在《吉祥三宝》中扮演听话可爱的三宝 2弯弯月亮： 云格的诗朗诵《弯弯的月亮》 3聪明狐狸： 云格的诗朗诵《我喜欢你，狐狸》 4迎春妞妞: 云格参与舞蹈表演<<妞妞乐>> 5我挺牛的： 云格做了什么得意的事，爱自我吹嘘， "我挺牛的!"。
Andy Xu	Bronze	Andy Xu is six year old living in Media, PA. He studied Chinese in Grade 1 at HXGV in 2010-2011. He is proud that now he can not only speak but also read and write Chinese. He enjoyed participating HXGV Chinese Speech Contest and representing HXGV in HXHQ Chinese Speech Contest. Andy had a great time exploring China for three months this summer, especially visiting the Great Wall and tasting variety of Chinese food. 徐安迪今年6岁，住在Media, PA。 安迪去年在华夏中文学校一年级学习。现在他很自豪他不仅能说，还能阅读和书写中文。他很高兴能参加华夏中文学校中文演讲比赛并且代表学校参加华夏中文学校总校演讲比赛。安迪非常高兴今年夏天能去中国旅游，特别是爬上了梦寐以求的长城，品尝了各式美味佳肴。
